To: YB Datuk Sri Anuar Ibrahim,
YB Lim Kit Siang
YB Karpal Singh
YB Baru Bian
Dear Sir,
Ref: Give us Hope for New YBs/Leaders in Sarawak
I read the news about ex PBB "Salleh Jafaruddin to make political come back" and "Rebellion looms in SUPP" involved Jonathan Krai and Jocnical Rayong who is related to Alfred Jabu.
In the news, former PBB member, Deputy Education Minister Salleh Jafaruddin is expected to make a comeback to active politics in Sarawak soon. We are yet to know, which party is he going to take his ride this time.
As someone born, residing and pure natives of Sarawak, I strongly oppose if there's any intentions from the party to recruit these trouble ex BN YBs or leaders into PR's herd.
Remember that famous idiom of the 'One Bad Apple'? These are the type of "Bad Apples" already eliminated from BN and intended to spread their contaminated and expired philosophies to the next party whichever will welcome them.
I regret to mention, most of ex BN leaders are well trained on curruptions, dissipated and are only in politics for their own self interest, prestige and building business on rayak's wealth for themselves and family members. Not to serve the rakyat. Have we not learn from our good lessons, happened in Perak, Selangor and Kedah early this year, the story of 'frogs' who were not in any positions in BN and jumped to PR for about one year and jumped from PR to BN because of their financial problem?
In my constintuency Telang Usan, I heard rumors about Mr Kebing Wan who is very keen to stand as PR candidate on SNAP's ticket.
Mr Kebing Wan is ex-PBB and former-political secretary to Abdul Taib Mahmud and later turned independent (cap "kelapa sawit", "kunchi" and etc.) before joined SNAP.
I am not sure, whether PR have ever come up with procedure on 'appraisal or background check on the candidates before approving them to represent for the people. Mr Kebing Wan, who is having family problem and also previously failed YB for Telang Usan during his PBB era. How could we blindly vote a person who cannot even manage his own family to manage a constituency at large, because being leader is always leader living by example, knows people's need and also to champion our rights?
I am very much sure, there are a lot of qulified, young, bold, energetic graduates, down to earth Dayaks out there who can understands the people problems and people's leaders - to choose as PR's candidates.
However, not all ex-BN YBs are "Bad Apples" or it's not necessary of their years of bad experiences from BN will gaurantee their good performaces in PR. Therefore, PR must look at the potential candidates with that common word call 'Basic Principles'. A leader of our choice must be able to communicate his or her vision in terms that cause followers to buy into it. He or she must communicate clearly and passionately, as passion is contagious. A good leader must have the discipline to work toward his or her vision single-mindedly, as well as to direct his or her actions and those of the team toward the goal. A leader who always doing something in pursuit of the vision, inspiring others to do the same with integrity, dedication and honest dealings.
We have enough of 45 years with Sarawak BN's poor management of Sarawak, with their cultures of dirty policies, self centered and their greed. We have enough of leaders who have been busy with their onw business throughout their terms and only appears at his continuance during campaign period.
Nobody can fool us, to ignore our integrity by throwing our full supports to vote for any parties while ignoring the weakness and failures of their candidates. We have practices our 'obligation of obedience' by voting the incumbent BN YB, Lihan Jok & Jacob Dungau for the sake of supporting BN with a tip of RM50.00 each, which have lead us into their terms of absolute chaotic.
Sir, we must do it correctly this time, for PR to choose correctly and quality leaders. Please give us hope for new YBs/leaders of our dream in Sarawak.!
If any of ex-BN YBs Sarawak to stands as PR's candidate in this coming election, I'd rather encourage all of PR friends and supporters by campaigning door-to-door, or through emails and blogs to boycott the voting for any parties completely.

"Make BE END comes to the end"
Hi, Burak Sem, I agree with you that not all ex-BN YBs are bad apples or hypocrites in that sense. Ex YB (Senator) Ding Seling is also not bad apple, Infact he is quite neutral that explains why, until now, he is not awarded any recognition even by the Sarawak Government let alone the Datukship. Anyway, that's not important to him, I guess, because most of us are already natural datuk awarded and respected forever by our grandchildrens. Don't you think Ding Seling can win (if he wants to stand) as compared to all other names mentioned thus far in the telang usan political market?
